Fishing

Honor and Valor Outdoors provides various fishing opportunities to Veterans throughout the year.  Each Veteran participant is allowed to bring a family member or friend on their fishing trip.  The Veteran’s plus one does not need to be a Veteran.

The various fishing trips we do throughout the year are Walleye fishing, Trout fishing and ice fishing for Whitefish.  Honor and Valor team members will work to ensure that any accommodations are fulfilled.  These accommodations can include hotel stays, any gear needed for the fishing trip, meals, licensing, etc.  If interested in participating in one of these fishing trips, please fill out the application and waiver under the “Sign Up” tab.

Walleye Fishing:

Our Walleye fishing trips are the most popular fishing trips to participate in.  We conduct fishing trips in the lower bay of Green Bay.  The most popular tactic for catching these fish is trolling.  Trolling allows us to cover more ground, in a shorter time, with more lures in the water.  This allows Veterans to sit back and enjoy the trip.  Once a fish strikes, IT’S GAME ON!  During a good bite, Veterans can expect multiple rods to get hit at the same time.

Ice Fishing (Whitefish):

Our Ice fishing trips are provided from area guides and usually consist of 12 participants split up into 3 fishing shacks.  Honor and Valor Members will be with to ensure each trip is smooth and successful.  Participants will meet in the Sturgeon Bay area and be transported on the ice by UTVs.  Each participant will be given a quick class on the current fishing tactics and assisted throughout the trip to ensure everybody catches fish.  Food and beverages will be provided on the ice as a small lunch.
